The Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) – Central Library of Central Sanskrit University, Panchavati Campus, Nashik, is a premier centre of learning dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and dissemination of India’s rich Sanskrit heritage. Located in the sacred city of Nashik, on the banks of the holy Godavari River, the campus is situated in the historic region of Panchavati, a place closely associated with the Ramayana where Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana are believed to have resided during their exile. Nashik is also renowned for the sacred Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve revered Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, and for being the origin of the Godavari River emerging from the Brahmagiri Hills near Trimbakeshwar. This spiritual and cultural setting enhances the academic atmosphere of the University and its library. The KRC Central Library serves as an intellectual hub for students, researchers, scholars, and faculty members. It houses a rich collection of approximately 13,590 books covering Sanskrit Literature, Vedas, Vedanta, Philosophy, Nyaya, Vyakarana, Dharmashastra, Jyotisha, History, Education, and allied disciplines.
