Symposium

The three-day symposium on "Transforming Sanskrit Libraries in the Context of NEP 2020" (March 26-28, 2025). It aims to discuss the digital transformation of Sanskrit libraries and challenges in implementing NEP 2020 for Viksit Bharat@2047. The event is free, with limited seats, for library professionals and researchers from Sanskrit institutions.

Aims and Objectives

This pioneering Symposium is a landmark event, exclusively organized for library professionals and researchers from Sanskrit Universities and allied Institutions across India. It aims to bring them together, empower them with knowledge and skills, and facilitate the exchange of best practices to drive the transformation of Sanskrit libraries in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
Key objectives of this symposium include but not confined to:

  • Identification of Issues & Challenges faced by Sanskrit Universities and allied Institutions in digital era and finding out appropriate resources & technologies to enhance the quality of library and information services in these institutions.
  • Facilitate discussions on the Digital Transformation of Libraries and Information Services in Sanskrit Universities and allied Institutions.
  • Address challenges and opportunities in the implementation of NEP 2020 vis-a-vis Library and Information Services.
  • Foster collaboration among stakeholders to achieve the vision of "Viksit Bharat@2047".

Interested participants should register through given link at the earliest convenience to facilitate the necessary arrangements.




Who Should Attend

Participation is open to all Library and Information professionals (Librarians/Deputy Librarians/Asst. Librarians/Professional Assistants/ Semi-Professional Assistants) and Researchers working in Sanskrit Universities, Sanskrit Colleges, Adarsh institutes, CSU Affiliated and other allied Institutions engaged in any discipline in the field of Indian Traditional Knowledge System.

  • Registration Fee:- No Registration Fee. Registration is on first-come, first serve basis subject to confirmation from organizers. Registration Kit, Lunch, Dinner & Certificates will be provided.
  • Accommodation:- Accommodation will be arranged by the host University.
  • Travel:- IInd AC/IIIrd AC train fare will be reimbursed to the two nominated participants only. However, University may also nominate additional participants at their own expenses.

Note: Only 100 seats are available on first-come, first-serve basis. Registrations will be confirmed by emails only. Nominated participants must get their forms/nomination letters forwarded through proper channel.
Closing Date for Registrations is 17th March, 2025.


Important Travel Instructions

Confirmed participants must carry their tickets to ensure a hassle-free reimbursement process. Compliance with this guideline is mandatory.

  • IInd AC/IIIrd AC train fare will be reimbursed for the shortest route. Candidates traveling by air will have to bear the fare difference.
  • Original tickets, along with travel receipts, must be submitted for reimbursement process at the venue.
  • Participants are required to share their travel itinerary via the Google Form link after confirming their participation.
